Nokia cuts 1000 jobs
Nokia has confirmed that it will do huge job cuts in Europe. 1000 employees from the Nokia Finnish Salo plant will be laid off. The main reason about this would be Nokia's eagerness to be on top again.
Some employees will have to go as early as June while others will stay by the end of the year. A smooth transition.
Those who remain at Salo will focus on installing and testing applications and tweaking models for European Nokia models. This is a move to penetrate Asian market, especially now that android and iOS devices are leading the game.
